CLUB DAY - SATURDAY 27th MAY
Hi everyone,
After all of the golfing disruptions lately hopefully the weather holds and we can all have a good day tomorrow. Pre golf Petr will be serving hot bacon rolls from the bbq - these will be for both the morning and afternoon fields. After golf each group of four will be served a pizza in the Clubhouse. There will only be one prizegiving which will be held at the end of the day. If you have scored well and think you might be in line for a prize you may like to consider returning for the prizegiving. The prize table is extensive and prizes for teams finishing 3rd-10th will be "pick of the table". The prizegiving will be held once all of the results have been tabulated but will not commence prior to 5.15pm.
AMBROSE HANDICAP CALCULATION
We will be using the WHS ( World Handicap System ) percentage system to calculate each teams Ambrose handicap. Enter the team names onto the score sheet in handicap playing order - lowest to highest handicap. If you are in a mixed team please remember that the playing handicap order may not necessarily be the same as the handicap index order. Ladies receive an additional two strokes added to their playing handicap ( This is to provide equality in a net competition because their handicaps are calculated on a par 72 whereas the mens are calculated on a par 70 ). The percentages applied to the playing handicaps from lowest to highest are 25%/20%/15% and finally 10% of the highest handicapper. Add the four numbers together and this will give you your ambrose handicap for the day - calculated to two decimal places.
The only other rules for the day stipulate that each player must contribute 4 tee shots ( 5 tee shots each for groups of 3 ) and 15cm placing from the chosen ball. Men play from the Achilles tees and Women from the Royalist/Leander composite course. The morning field starts at 8am and the afternoon field at 12.45pm - they are both shotgun starts and each teams start tee is loaded into the Dotgolf system. On arrival at the Club could each team captain please register in the Pro shop and collect a score card. These are to be returned to the shop at the conclusion of your round.
We hope everyone enjoys the day
