Hi everyone,
I think I've said this once or twice in the last few weeks but it does look hopeful this weekend that we will get back to Saturday golf. As well as Matariki here it is also Bastille Day and because we can, tomorrow the competition will be a combination of the Red, White and Blue tees. From tee 1 - use Red, tee 2- White, tee 3 - Blue and then continue in rotation. The scramble tomorrow is for this competition only so to enter you must play this combined set of tees. Two's and the jackpot ( two x two's on any holes ) are also in play. In addition, as previously communicated by Urville, there will be beverage prizes for birdies on selected holes. To collect your prize take your scorecard up to the bar after you have scanned it at the completion of your round.
Course Conditions:
The course is still very wet and will in all likelihood be "carry bags" only for the weekend. In addition the course staff have not had the opportunity to repair the bunkers so rather than take them out of play we will have the following rule in place for the weekend - if your ball lands in a bunker you can rake and place prior to playing your shot. If you need to take relief from a washed out area of the bunker then that relief should be no closer to the hole ( obviously still in the bunker!).
Captains and Vice-Captains trophies
We will still give participants time to complete these competitions but it will mean there will be degree of overlap with the Pat O'Connor Cup which has its qualifying day scheduled for 29th July. After this weekend we will schedule completion dates for these events.
