MENS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023

It's time to register for the rescheduled Strokeplay club champs and at the same time indicate whether or not you intend to play in the Matchplay, if you qualify. The format for the Strokeplay will be the same as normal - 4 rounds for the Seniors and two rounds for all other divisions. Matchplay qualifying will be the last two rounds for the Seniors and both rounds for all others. The top 16 in all divisions will qualify and be seeded accordingly.

Dates

Wednesday 13th Sept. at 5pm - entries close ( The Mens committee will have discretion to accept late entries up until the day of play)

Saturday 16th Sept - Seniors only - Strokeplay rounds 1 and 2

Saturday 23rd Sept - Seniors Strokeplay round 3; all others Strokeplay round 1

Sunday 24th Sept - Strokeplay FINALS day for all divisions. Prizegiving and Trophy presentation

Saturday 30th Sept - All Divisions - Matchplay round of 16 to be completed by this day

Saturday 7th Oct - Round of 8 to be completed by this date

Saturday 14th Oct - All divisions semi-finals to be played on this day

Sunday 15th Oct - Matchplay FINALS day - Seniors 36 holes, all others 18 holes. Prizegiving and Trophy presentation

The handicap index breakdown for each division is:

Seniors - +5 - 6.9

Intermediates - 7.0 - 12.5

Juniors - 12.6 - 18.0

C Grade 18.1 - 24.0

D Grade - 24.1+

Members handicap indexes as at Thursday 14th Sept will determine playing divisions.

Each person has the right to play in one division higher ( lower index range ) than their handicap index would qualify them for. If you wish to do this please enter the division you want to play in and also notify Brad by email at: golf@waitematagolf.co.nz .

The Great New Zealand Tee Off

Waitemata Golf Club has joined 180 golf clubs across New Zealand to help raise funds for three great charities - The CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust, Hope Without Fear & Movember.

The club has donated two tee times (to see tee times visit www.greatnzteeoff.co.nz). Members, general public and corporates will be able to bid for each of the tee times via the online fundraising platform GalaBid with all money raised going to the three charities. The auction begins on September 1 & runs till 8pm 27th September.
