We are delighted that our Twilight Golf will return this coming Tuesday 3th October, 5:30pm shotgun, teams of 4. Open to all.

The good news is that we have two key event sponsors for the event this year. Lake Chalice Wines are back on board for another year and will be supplying prizes for the weekly prize table.

We also have Crombie Lockwood on board who are sponsoring the "Major Prizes” There will be two prizes up for grabs, one Pre-Christmas and one Post-Christmas.

This season, teams earn an entry in the Major prize draw for each twilight scorecard returned. We are offering a bonus entry to all teams who prepay for their team by 4pm Tuesday of each round. Captains, keep your membership account topped up, call the pro shop between 2pm and 4pm and will process your team payment.

· Select a captain for your team.

· Captain confirms team payment with pro shop before 4pm.

FRIENDSHIP CUP

The Friendship Cup was first competed for in 1942 between North Shore, Pupuke and Waitemata Golf Clubs. The three clubs have decided to reactivate competition for this trophy starting this year at Pupuke on Sunday November 5th. Each club will be represented by 32 male golfers. The total of the top 16 stableford scores of each team will determine the winning club. The sign-up sheet for this event is in the Mens Locker room - if you would like to represent Waitemata GC on the day please add your name and club number to this sheet. Full details are included on the poster which accompanies the registration sheet.

CLUB CHAMPS _ STROKEPLAY

The Strokeplay event was decided last weekend and the divisional winners and runner-ups were:

Seniors: 1st - Dan Burney, 2nd - Stu Nicholls

Intermediates: 1st - Ian Wallis, 2nd - Taiil Jeong

Juniors: 1st - Jon Sheridan, 2nd -Guillaume Fleury

C Grade: 1st - Nick Davey, 2nd - Zane Gibbs

D Grade: 1st - Hugh Anderson, 2nd - Robin Kelly

SATURDAY 30TH SEPT

This Saturday is the first round of the Matchplay Club Champs. If you are competing in the Matchplay you may still enter the club scramble. However please remember that you must complete each hole (assuming that you are scoring at least one stableford point) even if your opponent concedes the hole or putt in the match.

Please note: if your match ends in a tie please check in with the pro shop to determine arrangements for deciding a winner. Please do not assume you have automatic rights to the 1st tee!

Tuesday 17^th LADIES 9 HOLE ONLY

Tee 10: 8:36

Tee 18: 8:36

Wednesday 18th

Tee 10: 8:36, 8:44

Tee 1: 11:30, 12:18, 12:26, 13:30, 13:38

If you would like to utilise this offer and book a tee time, you MUST do so by emailing Brad at golf@waitematagolf.co.nz by October 7.

Bookings will be strictly limited to 1 per person over the 3 days. Please do not attempt to play more than once using this reciprocal arrangement.
