Appointment of New General Manager

After an extensive recruitment process that saw over 30 applicants for the role, the club is delighted to announce that we have recruited Jamie Palmer to the role of General Manager.

Jamie’s extensive background in sports management, sales and team leadership made him the stand out candidate in what was a strong field of applicants.

Having spent a number of years working as the Sales Manager at the Next Gen Health & Racquet Club in the city, Jamie took the role Assistant GM at Gulf Harbour Country Club in late 2022, taking over the GM role in May 2023. Unfortunately, with the closure of Gulf Harbour Jamie was left between roles.

Jamie will be commencing his handover with David next week and will be taking over full time from 22nd December, with David taking some annual leave over the Christmas period. David's last official day at the club will be Friday 5th January 2024.

We are looking forward to welcoming Jamie to the club.

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow we play for the Achilles Cup which is our last trophy event for the year. As this is a stableford event the scramble will be stableford as well. The jackpot has been struck two weeks in succession so once again restarts this weekend. Bernard Oosthuizen won $374 two weeks ago and last week John Francis collected $58. Congratulations to both.

HAMPER DAY - SUNDAY

As previously advised we will be serving hot bacon rolls from the BBQ prior to a shotgun start at 9am. The draw has been posted on Dotgolf so you can check your starting tee. Cards will be printed early on Sunday morning and can be collected from the pro shop. The competition is 4BBB stableford so if you cannot score a point please pick up and leave the hole to your partner.

After golf please scan your cards and then head upstairs for a light lunch. The trophy presentations and Hamper Day prizegiving will follow.
