We have noticed that Fridays have become a popular day for golf. From Friday 17th May it will change to a members and members guest only until 2pm. To book your guest in please call the shop. 

CLUB CAPTAINS CORNER

Hi everyone,

This Saturday is the rescheduled Foursomes round of the Birthday Cup. Same tee sheet set up as two weeks ago where we played in groups of six. I have been asked to clarify a couple of the rules for playing Foursomes. One partner tees off from all of the odd numbered holes and the other tees off from all of the even numbered holes and then it is alternate shots until the ball is holed out. The golf ball may be changed for each hole but not during the play of an individual hole; ie. partners cannot use a different ball each time they play their shot. The current leaders with a combined Ambrose and 4BBB score of 91 are Nathan Latch and Jonathon Kemp.

All of those who entered the scramble two weeks ago, for the Foursomes round that was washed out, will be automatically re-entered this week. For those not playing in the Birthday Cup there will be a single stableford comp and two's but the jackpot will not be on offer.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Final reminder that entries for the Club Champs - Strokeplay close on Wednesday 8th May at 4pm. Late entries may be accepted up until the day of play based on space availability.

Entries are now open for the Club Day on Saturday May25th - this is an Ambrose event for teams of four and is open to all Full Playing and Off-Peak members only. When registering please advise whether your team wishes to play in the morning or afternoon field. If you do not have a team you can still register and Brad will do his best to place you in a team. Registrations must be sent to Brad- Golf@waitematagolf.co.nz
