CLUB CAPTAINS CORNER
Hi everyone,
COURSE AND LOCAL RULE CHANGES
The Club Champs get underway tomorrow with the first two rounds of Strokeplay for the Seniors only. All other divisions play next weekend. In a change from previous years, the Golf Committee has decided that the alternative "Stroke and Distance" local rule for a ball hit out of bounds or lost in the general area will NOT apply for the Club Champs. This means that if you think your ball maybe OOB ( out of bounds ) or lost then you may hit a provisional ball. If you have not hit a provisional ball and cannot find your original ball then you must return to the place where the shot was played from and retake the shot. Please note: a provisional ball cannot be considered "in play" if the original ball is found but is not OOB.
Playing Conditions will also change - for the next two weeks it will be 15cm clean and place on "own mown fairway " only. Own mown fairway is defined as closely mown area, including the fringe or first cut around the greens of the hole, currently being played.
The scramble tomorrow will be net medal, twos and the jackpot. Those playing in the Seniors CC can only enter the scramble for their morning round.
Last week was round 3 and the final round of the Birthday Cup. The winners by one shot ( point ) were Nathan Latch and Jonathon Kemp. Congratulations guys - your trophy will be presented on Hamper Day.
