Local Rules Update
The Golf Committee has made the following decisions regarding local rules which will be in play from Saturday 7th September 2024 (Tomorrow)
WAITEMATA MOGULS ON HOLE 16
As the depressions in the 16th fairway (the Waitemata Moguls) are getting deeper, the golf committee has decided to implement a new temporary local.
The clean and place rule will be extended to 1 club length between the beginning of the fairway and the blue stakes approximately 180m from the green.
This rule will only apply when a player’s ball lies in the fairway.
BUNKERS
While we are getting regular heavy rain which leaves the condition of our bunkers so inconsistent, the rake and replace local rule will remain in effect until further notice. Bunkers deemed GUR will be marked with a sign where appropriate.
RELIEF FROM TREE ROOTS
If a player’s ball lies in the general area and there is interference from exposed tree roots which are in the general area and not within 1 club length of the base of a tree, the tree roots are treated as ground under repair.
The player may take free relief under Rule 16.1b. Interference does not exist if the tree roots only interfere with the player’s stance.
