Twilight

Twilight kicked off last Tuesday (1st October). It was great to see everyone out there and getting amongst it. 

Thanks to Lake Chalice Wines and Gallagher Insurance for their ongoing support with this excellent event series. 

A note to members that Twilight will go ahead every Tuesday regardless of weather. If the course is open - the game is on!

Coring Reminder

Just a reminder that Waitemata Golf Club will be closed for its bi-annual coring from the 14th October (Monday) until the 16th October (Wednesday).

Handicap: 13.7 (that’s after my hip-op, it used to be a 7) 

How long have you been at WGC: 12- 13 years 

Favourite Hole: 11th Hole. Because it’s a dog-leg, a down-hill green protected by two bunkers and... I miss the big tree behind the green. That’s gone. I like a challenge. 

What’s the best golfing tip you’ve been given? Watch the old people play – straight down the middle. 

What’s your favourite thing about WGC? The people! Absolutely. I love being a member here.
