YOU Travel Takapuna – new sponsor
We are excited to become a sponsor of the club and look forward to any opportunities to assist members with travel. YOU Travel and Cruise was formally United Travel and our business has been operating in Takapuna for over 50 years. I am a member of the club, a Friday regular and have lived locally on and off since being at TGS.
With golf travel, I have played in many countries over the years and have arranged golf trips for groups of all sizes - couples, small and larger groups. Having a round of golf in a new place is the quickest way to acclimatise – you quickly get introduced to the local sounds, smells and the temperatures.
Last year with a group of 20, I played the 2 Barnbougle courses in Tasmania – that is a great experience on top Australian links courses. Most recently I also played a gem of a course designed by Nick Faldo in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Very easy to arrange a round of golf on any trip.
The ultimate bucket list golf destinations are Ireland and Scotland. I can access tee bookings with car and accommodation packages to such courses in Scotland as Royal Darnock, Gleneagles, and the St Andrews area. In Ireland, Old Head, Dooks, Ballybunion, Waterville to name a few - all superb golf experiences.
As an agent our main focus is general holiday travel and we are also specialists in river, ocean and expedition cruising. Also, tours and leisure travel worldwide. Another part of business with my business partner, Pete Head, is surf travel with Island Holidays and Air Show travel. Plenty to offer!
