MIXED GOLF TOURNAMENTS

Hi Everyone,

This is an advance notice that we plan to re-introduce mixed golf tournaments on a Sunday commencing in February 2025. Our thoughts are that we will have approximately six of these spread throughout the year - probably three either side of winter. The format will be a 18 hole mixed pairs event followed by a prizegiving in the Clubhouse. The event will be open to all members and visitors - tee spots will be reserved for those entering this competition.

Loyalty Changes

Great News. We will be adjusting our loyalty discount for purchases. The bar and cafe drinks will return to 15%, while food items will no longer be eligible for the loyalty discount. 

Polite reminder that the course will be closed on Christmas Day.

Finally, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! We hope you enjoy this special time with your friends and family. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

Handicap: 22.7 

How long have you been at WGC:   I started playing regularly at WGC around 1995-96, but came here to play casually before that as well.  

What got you interested in golf?:   I’ve always been reasonably active in my sporting life, and quite a few of my friends belonged to the club so I decided to join. 

What’s your favourite hole here and why?:  The 10th. It’s a favorite cause it’s one that’s typically reachable and plays well.  

What’s the best golfing tip you’ve been given?:   Make sure to keep your head down. 

What’s your favorite thing about WGC?:  Definitely the comradeship and the friends. The course itself is also lovely.
