Course 

Firstly, we apologise for the slight delay in coring, which was pushed back by one day due to the heavy rain we experienced. The greenkeeping team, however, worked tirelessly despite the challenging weather conditions to ensure everything was completed, and we want to give them a huge thank you for their dedication and hard work.

In other news, we've removed the two dead pine trees located between holes 8 and 9, as well as the dead trees along the 11th fairway.

Hole 11 will remain closed until the net is up. This is starting Monday. Holes 15a and 15b will be in play as an alternative. We appreciate your understanding.

This week we have a special treat. We've managed to nab the Head Greenkeeper himself!

Denis Coleman 

Handicap: 9.8 

How long have you been at WGC?:  Started playing in 1978 – when I was 16. Started working here 1st of February 1980. 

What got you interested in golf?: My mates started playing, so I just joined them. 

What’s your favourite hole here and why?: The 13th. When I was good, if you reached the green in two then you had a good shot to do it, otherwise you’re in the bunker. Now it takes me about three or four shots to get there. 

What’s the best golfing tip you’ve been given?: “Be the Ball, Danny!” (CaddyShack) 

If you could play a round with anybody, who would you pick, and why?: The Ultimate Warrior (Wrestling), Andrew (Coleman), and Big John Henderson (Darts). 

If you could play on any course in the world, where would you like to play one day, and why?: Waitemata - it's not as easy as people think, especially with the small greens. 

What’s your favorite thing about WGC?:  The Course. It’s a highly underrated golf course.
